We’re supporting PLAION as they recruit for a Senior Global Brand Manager to join their Global Brand and Marketing Division. This senior strategic role is central to the success of some of PLAION’s biggest intellectual properties and has a global remit to develop and implement world-class brand and marketing strategies.

***This role can be based in either Reading, UK or Munich, Germany.***

As Senior Global Brand Manager you’ll work alongside a dynamic, passionate team that’s committed to innovation. You’ll use your knowledge of the AAA games market to define and lead marketing strategies for world-renowned franchises, creating impactful campaigns that will resonate worldwide and shape the future of gaming experiences.

Your responsibilities…
  • Own the global Brand and Marketing Strategy for your franchises, creating multi-channel campaigns from announce to post-launch.
  • Collaborate with development studios and the Product Development team to align product strategies with consumer and commercial insights.
  • Act as the brand expert and evangelist to both internal stakeholders and external partners, including first parties and licensors.
  • Develop and oversee core brand materials such as brand bibles, style guides, and creative identities that drive cross-functional marketing efforts.
  • Lead the creation of key art, trailers, and advertising assets across all channels.
  • Define brand goals and strategies to maximize commercial potential and explore innovative revenue streams.
  • Manage and optimize central brand and marketing budgets, ensuring timely delivery of key materials.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, applying insights to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Line manages and mentor junior team members, including Brand Assistants and Associate Brand Managers.

  • Able to combine strategic insight with creative flair and a passion for gaming.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strategic thinker and exceptional communicator who can articulate vision across diverse teams.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Highly creative, with experience briefing and critiquing external agencies to produce outstanding results.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a Brand and/or Marketing role at a global level.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in the games industry, with exposure to multiple aspects of the business
  • Experience of working on AA/AAA product launches.
  • Graduate-level education or a professional equivalent (e.g. MBA).
  • Expertise in AAA gaming marketing strategies, including PR, social media, community, and retail.
  • A keen understanding of player engagement.
  • Proficiency in project management and budget oversight.
  • Fluent in English, with polished presentation and writing skills.
