Job description
We’re working with a true indie publisher to help them find a Producer/Product Manager who’s fluent in Mandarin and a holds a deep love for video games.
As a Producer/Product Manager you’ll use your extensive knowledge to advise the developers and partners on upcoming releases, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet the agreed quality standards.
With your comprehensive knowledge of platform holder systems and logistics, you’ll manage a range of games which are yet to be announced, combining your project management skills, marketing knowledge and communication abilities to deliver top-tier results.
In addition, you’ll play a vital role in bridging cultural and linguistic gaps, ensuring seamless collaboration with Mandarin speaking developers, partners, and stakeholders.
The company has published over 100 indie titles to date across console/PC and handheld platforms, thanks to the global publishing and distribution networks they’ve established. Their values are integrity, hard work, loyalty and respect coupled with a desire to champion the creation and publishing of indie titles.
The publisher also has a refreshing approach to signing and releasing titles, the full team are involved in determining which titles are signed and the publisher is focused on discovering the developers whose games deserve to be experienced!
This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours to accommodate global collaboration.
Your responsibilities…
Work with Localisation and Production teams, manage voiceover and bring a culturally authentic and engaging experience for players across platforms.
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to create and deliver marketing and social media strategies.
Oversee communication with Mandarin speaking developers and partners, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding.
Support the day-to-day management of production team members and project timelines.
Guide budget and timelines for projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
Create reports on tasks, risks and milestones for both internal and external stakeholders.
Provide constructive feedback during playtests to improve game quality.
Ensure regulatory and cultural compliance of localised content in the Chinese market.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Experience of localising voiceovers with knowledge of cultural differences in the gaming industry, especially between Western and Asian markets.
Background in marketing and social media aimed at the Chinese market.
Understanding and experience of implementing marketing strategies and user acquisition.
Fluency in Mandarin and English, with effective communication skills.
Understanding of video games production including delivery of milestones and content.
Knowledge of Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Steam submission processes.
Comfortable working with production and development teams across different time zones.
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working to deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a team-player mindset.
Non-essential but desirable extras…

Familiarity with QA processes and reporting.
