As a UI/UX Designer at this studio your role will see you use a broad range of skills in UX Design and UI Art, you’ll also be implementing and animating in the Unity engine.

The studio has built a small but experienced team of veteran developers who are working on the studio’s own and unique IP. This role is well suited for devs looking to work on something a little bit different, and with either existing mobile, indie, AA or AAA UI/UX experience.

Your responsibilities…
  • Developing high-quality 2D graphics (assets, icons, menus, interface components) in line with the game’s art style and technical requirements
  • Producing detailed wireframes and documentation to communicate design intention and workflow to the development team
  • Pre-visualise, mock-up, prototype, animate and implement UI designs
  • Address UI/UX issues that arise during development and post-launch, iterating on designs to improve user experience and fix bugs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure UI/UX design aligns with the overall game vision and enhances player experience
  • Work alongside the Lead Artist to develop polished, high-quality effects and craft dramatic moments in a predominantly 2D title
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Shipped a mobile or PC/console game with 2D elements
  • Strong working knowledge of Unity engine
  • Ability to work in-engine on complex UI elements to bring them to life via animation, VFX and transitions
  • Ability to iterate high fidelity 2D art to match existing art styles and contribute to new ones
  • Portfolio of UX Design (including wireframes) and UI art that showcases rich, varied, high-detailed work with VFX driven transitions
  • A strong understanding of UX and a liking of bold UI Design
  • Comfortable working with autonomy within an experienced team
  • Any experience developing card games would be an added bonus
Perks and benefits include…
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible working solutions
Please note, for this role you should hold the right to work in the UK and be able to work in studio, 5 days per week, in Guildford.
