Aardvark Swift is looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Data Scientist to join an innovative team at one of Europe’s leading mobile game developers, based in the heart of Berlin!

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in data science to directly influence the development of some of the most popular mobile games on the market.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll lead key analytics projects to understand and predict player behaviour, providing valuable insights that will shape game design and player experiences. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and other key stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making, optimizing products for maximum engagement and player satisfaction.

You will build and refine data tools that empower teams to make smarter decisions. Whether through experiments, advanced analytics, or machine learning models, you’ll offer actionable insights that support both short-term goals and long-term growth. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to continuously enhance analytics processes, contributing to the creation of more efficient and effective tools that drive impact across the organization.

Your responsibilities…

  • Lead data analysis projects to interpret player behaviour and improve game performance

  • Design and implement data tools that help product teams track key performance indicators

  • Use machine learning techniques and statistical models to forecast trends and inform strategic decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure analytics align with business objectives

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, or computer science

  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and experienced in working with large datasets

  • Strong background in data science or a similar analytical role, preferably within the games industry

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, and their application to player behaviour

  • Experience with A/B testing and other experimental methods to inform product decisions
