Splash Damage are working with us to find a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Core Tech team.
As a Senior System Programmer at Splash Damage, you will design and implement core systems, pipelines, and architecture for their multiplayer titles.
Your expertise will drive the technical design and implementation of large-scale features, focusing on scalability, performance, and memory usage. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, champion best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to propel projects forward.

Your main responsibilities…
Designing and implementing core systems, pipelines, and architecture for multiplayer games
Mentoring junior team members and providing constructive feedback
Championing best practices within your specialist domain
Collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues across development disciplines
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Professional game engine code experience, including I/O, rendering, physics, low-level networking, and memory management
Experience in Systems development for Xbox Series S/X and/or PS5
Strong practical knowledge of C++ and 3D maths
Proficiency with source control systems like Perforce and writing automation tasks
Familiarity with profiling and optimising code for optimal CPU, GPU, memory, and bandwidth usage
Desirable but not essential…
Experience with Unreal Engine 5 development and streaming/open-world games
Knowledge of real-time low-level networked multiplayer games and audio programming
Familiarity with physics engines and the Entity Component System (ECS) pattern
Practical knowledge of C#
