Job description

Product Director

Location: Berlin, Germany
Hybrid working: 2 days in the office per week

Aardvark Swift is leading the search for an experienced Product Director for one of Europe's leading games studios based in the heart of Berlin. In this critical role, you will oversee the product management discipline for one of the studio’s flagship games, ensuring the long-term vision and strategy are effectively translated into both new and existing features.

Reporting directly to the Game Director, you will be responsible for key product decisions and leading a team of Product Managers to develop and execute the product roadmap for a market-leading title.
This role is more than managing features — it’s about driving the long-term success of the game with clarity, ambition, and deep player focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the product roadmap, translating a shared vision into actionable plans in close collaboration with the Game Director and other product leaders.

  • Lead the planning, prioritising and execution of impactful features that enhance player experience and drive meaningful growth.

  • Bring strong commercial insight to product development, overseeing forecasting, goal setting, and performance analysis to ensure sustained business success.

  • Promote a culture rooted in strategic thinking, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Work cross-functionally to align teams and ensure smooth, consistent execution of the product vision.

  • Cultivate a team environment of accountability, focus, and ownership.

  • Mentor and develop Product Managers into confident, empowered leaders.

About You:

  • Demonstrated success leading product management for live games, with a strong history of delivering high-impact features and managing roadmaps from conception to execution.

  • Strategic thinker with a long-term outlook, capable of planning years ahead—not just to the next release.

  • Effective and empathetic leader, combining resilience with clarity in decision-making.

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and clear, proactive communication.

  • Deeply passionate about player experience, product excellence, and building a game that stands the test of time.

Perks and benefits include:

  • Relocation support for you and your family including visa support, a relocation allowance and help finding a home.

  • Bonus based on company KPIs – share in the studio's commercial success.

  • 28 days annual leave, with more days added with service.

  • 'Workcation' – work from abroad for up to 10 days per year.

  • Mental and physical health collaborations.

  • Purpose day to allow you to donate your time to a worthy cause.

  • Yearly €2,000 education budget, plus 2 days of educational leave and in-house training.

  • Cycle and public transport subsidies.

  • Support with securing kindergarten/nursey/preschool slots.

  • German language classes for you and your partner.
