Job description
We're working with Kalypso Media UK to find a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for the initiation of new business opportunities relating to video games.
Kalypso Media UK are part of the global and privately owned Kalypso Media Group, who develop and publish games through four development studios as well as working with leading independent developers.
Kalypso have an impressive international track record and are known for their focus on creating strategy games for a global audience across all platforms, with an IP portfolio that includes internationally popular series such as Tropico, Commandos, Port Royale, Dungeons, Sudden Strike and Railway Empire.
This position is hybrid, with 2 days based onsite at Kalypso’s Bracknell offices.
Your responsibilities…

Your responsibilities…
- Initiation of new business opportunities in the field of computer and video games
- Execute business negotiations and contract process
- Evaluation and acquisition of new titles and participation in contract negotiations
- Collaborate with internal teams across different countries to achieve success
- Reviews, processing and negotiation of license, distribution, and cooperation agreements with international partners
- Autonomous preparation and implementation of various gaming related projects
- Supervision and support of partner studios and their projects
- Attendance of international industry events
- Bachelor or comparable degree in a relevant field, preferably commercial or related to video games
- Work experience in the video game industry, preferably in business development or a related role
- Significant experience with successful dealmaking
- Proven track record of building strong client relationships within the games industry
- Passion for video games
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Structured, organized, and reliable
- Strong team spirit and sense of responsibility
- Excellent English language skills
