We’re working with the legendary Bandai Namco, as they search for a Trade Marketing Manager for the Nordic region of the games industry.
As Trade Marketing Manager for the Nordic region, you’ll play a key role in planning and executing marketing strategies for new game releases, promotional activities, and retail partnerships.
You’ll lead strategic trade marketing initiatives, refine channel strategies, and manage key third-party relationships, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners to support Bandai Namco’s regional objectives. Your understanding of the retail landscape and strategic mindset will be key to driving brand visibility across both in-store and digital platforms.
The role can be based in either London or Stockholm and can be worked on a hybrid basis with 3 days on site per week, you’ll report to the Sales Director who is based in the UK and collaborate with teams across different regions.
Your responsibilities…
Develop and implement trade marketing strategies for new game launches and key back-catalogue titles.
Design and execute promotional activities across retail stores and e-commerce platforms.
Analyse retail performance and propose strategic promotional plans to enhance sales.
Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation and timely reporting.
Create post-campaign reports and share insights with key stakeholders.
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to maximize brand visibility and market presence.
Coordinate with POS providers to design and roll out impactful in-store promotional materials.
Conduct regular site visits to retail locations to assess brand presence and campaign execution.
Present game lineups to retail partners in collaboration with marketing teams.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
2 or more years’ experience in Trade Marketing executing multichannel retail campaigns.
While experience in the video games industry is highly desirable, candidates from complementary industries (toys, FMCG and licensed goods) are encouraged to apply.
Experienced in developing and executing effective trade marketing campaigns.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret numerical data and assess marketing performance.
Excellent organisational and planning abilities, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability to changing market conditions with a problem-solving approach.
Experience with Oracle is a plus but not required.
An established relationship with Nordic retailers and experience of the Nordic retail landscape is a plus.
