Perp Games are looking to bring in a Senior PR Manager to drive innovative, consistent, and effective PR campaigns.

As Senior PR Manager you’ll be working with Perp's Brand team, their development talent, and internal studio teams, to maximise the potential of Perp Games' titles in the marketplace.

To achieve this, you’ll work closely with the Marketing Director, creating and executing top notch PR campaigns for Perp’s games, while building and nurturing a strong network of relationships with a wide range of international games media, mainstream media, and influencers. This will include visits to media and influencers, meaning being comfortable with business travel is a must for this role.

Your responsibilities will also include…
  • Regular visits to UK and international media and influencers, presenting first looks, previews, reviews, and general updates
  • Ensure media are up to date with Perp Games' products and fully understand the strengths of their games
  • Develop creative story pitches for media outlets that align with brand pillars and resonate with target media
  • Build communication strategies and tactics to secure coverage from mainstream media
  • Localise and distribute press releases and media alerts
  • Build effective and timely PR assets and oversee necessary licensor/developer approvals of all PR materials
  • Evaluate code, including assessing the suitability for first looks, previews, and reviews, and where applicable, conduct mock reviews
  • Evangelise product potential both internally and externally, developing an in-depth understanding of products and product vision
  • Deliver concise, prompt, and informative reporting on press activities, coverage, and opportunities
  • Track, measure, and report on the success of all key activities to senior management
  • Help raise Perp Games' profile in the video game industry through an effective communications strategy
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of award events and find relevant opportunities for Perp Games’ titles
  • Build post-release plans, including competitions and interviews, to ensure continued competition beyond the release window
  • Support the Physical Box Business by building and maintaining databases of media and influencers who create ‘box opening’ videos, and ensure they receive physical editions
  • Play an integral role in the planning, design, and execution of international events, as well as Perp Games' own showcase events, including attending consumer and media events in the UK or overseas
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing team to promote product potential to local distributors and support retail expansion efforts
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Experience of video games PR operations and strategy with a deep understanding of the games industry
  • Track record in delivering first-class communications campaigns for video games
  • 7 or more years’ experience of managing communications, either in-house or agency
  • Strong network of international media and influencer contacts
  • Experienced in strategic messaging and positioning, crafting compelling messaging and stories that resonate with target media
  • Strong copywriting, verbal, and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Effective organisational, prioritisation and time management skills to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
  • Comfortable and professional in handling confidential information
  • Effective in tracking, measuring, and reporting on task progress
  • Enthusiastic and driven with a love of games, both playing and presenting games
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new techniques and develop new skills
  • Willing to work outside of standard business hours if needed
