Job description

We've partnered with a renowned game studio to find a talented Lead Analyst to join their team in Berlin.

As the Lead Analyst, you will oversee and mentor a team of Game Analysts, guiding them to develop insights that drive data-driven decision-making and enhance the player experience.

Your expertise will be crucial in shaping strategies to support business growth, and you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that inform product development and improvement, shape data-driven decisions and optimize a leading game title.

This leadership role offers a hybrid work model, requiring you to be onsite 2 days a week in Berlin, where you will work closely with your colleagues as part of a dynamic and international team.

Your responsibilities…

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Game Analysts, ensuring they develop and apply analytical skills to deliver insights that drive business impact.

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the company, enabling the team to provide actionable data insights that align with business objectives.

  • Developing analysis strategies and overseeing the analysis of complex scenarios and A/B tests, both systematically and on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Identifying opportunities and risks through data analysis, leading projects that aim to optimize new game features.

  • Collaborating with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to execute game-specific and company-wide data initiatives.

  • Communicating key findings and recommendations to leadership, presenting data in a clear and impactful way.

  • Acting as the ambassador for Analytics in key discussions and forums, influencing decisions with data-driven insights.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

  • Experience working as a Product Data Analyst.

  • Proven track record in a leadership role, ideally within the app industry or a similar field.

  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in SQL.

  • Experience using programming languages like Python to analyze data.

  • Problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to identify patterns in consumer behaviour and data.

  • Comfortable with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Periscope.

  • Able to communicate complex findings in a clear, concise manner.

Nice to have but not essential…

  • Experience in the games industry.

  • Understanding of behavioural psychology.

  • Advanced statistical knowledge and experience with predictive analytics or segmentation.
