Job Title: Operations and Performance Manager
I’m the elder statesman in the office and my role is to make sure we are performing to our best! I look after everything from the day-to-day performance of the team, to making sure our IT and phone systems are working properly. I’m an avid cyclist and enjoy seeing the countryside (as long as it’s from two wheels).

Favourite Game Series: Call of Duty
Favourite TV Series: Vikings
Favourite Film: Ben-Hur (1959)
Favourite Book: Ben Hope series by Scott Miriani
Favourite Song/Band: Sunny Afternoon by The Kinks
How did you get into games as a hobby?
It all started with the Commodore 64. I was learning to use it and intended to teach my brother and sister, but it quickly became about playing games rather than using it as a tool to do tasks. Thankfully you don’t have to program home consoles anymore!
What’s your career background?
I have a varied background to be honest. I started in retail, where I worked as a Regional Manager for a large American sports brand. I then moved into training and development, delivering seminars and consultancy to clients across the UK. My past career certainly helped me develop the skills necessary to manage a team and talk to people at trade shows and recruitment drives.
What’s an average day look like for you at Aardvark Swift?
My day is pretty evenly split between working with the consultants and dealing with any technical challenges that they might come across. Constantly improving the service we offer to our clients and candidates is something I watch very closely.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to work in a young and dynamic company with big ambitions! I’m challenged daily in my role to develop and improve. There’s also a competitive side as there is a group of us that enjoy sport.
Favourite memory so far?
2019 was a record year and we celebrated in style! My favourite memory is of the whole team travelling to Hamburg to celebrate and what a fantastic time we had whilst there (for those that can remember it).
