Senior Producer (Remote Options) 

Team 17 – Yorkshire, UK

***This role will be based out of either their Wakefield or Salford studio, and can be worked remotely from anywhere in the UK***



Team17 are now looking for a Senior Producer to join the gang! This role will be based either in the new studio in Manchester at Media City, or the Wakefield Studio. As Senior Producer, you will take ownership of a number of projects, providing leadership to the project teams and holding responsibility for the full production life cycle from conception to release.

As a Senior, you will also have direct line management responsibilities for a number of Producers and Associate Producers, providing guidance, mentoring and support where needed.

In 2020, Team17 celebrated 30 years of amazing indie games with 12 new titles and a 25% increase in Teamsters! Through 2021, Team17 have developed multiple releases from King of Seas to Hokko Life.

Your role and responsibilities will include…

  • Direct line management of members of the production team that do not report to a Production Manager
  • Managing both internal and external games development projects from initial concept through to release and beyond
  • The deployment of appropriate production processes and methodology on assigned projects which support the team and facilitate the creation of the best possible games
  • Working with the development team to create a realistic project plan, defining and project’s initial scope, budget and schedule
  • Scheduling and attending development meetings on any assigned projects, setting agendas, facilitating discussions, taking notes and identifying action points arising from any meeting
  • Utilising good project management techniques to monitor, control and balance the overall scope, budget, schedule and quality of assigned projects
  • Providing leadership to both a project’s team of development leads and the wider project team
  • Removing impediments that arise during development to ensure that the team are able to focus on what they do best.
  • Providing production guidance and support to Team17 Games Label partners where required
  • Undertaking milestone reviews with the relevant stakeholders to ensure they are achieved to the highest standards
  • Regular reporting of project status and risks to production managers, the commercial team and other stakeholders as required
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with others across the business and with the Games Label partners, upholding the reputation of the production department within the business

The skills and experience you'll need…

  • A substantial track record in production roles within the games industry.
  • A natural leadership skillset to motivate and drive development teams and processes
  • A good fit within the studio environment, being friendly, approachable and with a professional work ethic
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, with a solid understanding of modern project management methodologies and practices
  • Immaculate written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proactive and open-minded in solving scheduling issues relating to the complex development structure of game development
  • Exemplary organisational mentality, with the ability to prioritise a varying workload effectively
  • Able to work extremely well under pressure
  • An excellent, up-to-date knowledge of the games industry and gaming trends
