Multiplayer Programmer (Remote Options)

Are you an experienced Multiplayer Programmer who would relish working on a ground-breaking next gen AAA PvP shooter?

The project is an original IP and will have a 'Games as a Service' focus. You'll be joining the project at the early stages of a multi-year development cycle meaning you will have a big impact in helping to shape an incredible new gaming experience. The project will feature unique mechanics and will bring something new to the genre!

Your responsibilities will primarily focus on creating reliable and robust client/server game systems. You will also mentor and educate gameplay programmers to use networking system features optimally.

Role requirements include…

  • Understanding how to build systems tolerant to latency and packet-loss
  • Knowledge of common networking techniques, such as client-side prediction
  • Experience of optimising network traffic and game server performance
  • Strong knowledge and experience of programming in C++

Bonus points if you have any of the following desirable extras…

  • Understanding of networking protocols such as UDP/TCP
  • Unreal Engine experience, or willingness to learn
  • Experience with console development and/or mobile
