Job Description

Lead SDET

Rocksteady – London, UK

I am working exclusively on this role with one of the biggest and best games studios that the UK has to offer – Rocksteady Games!

Rocksteady are looking to attract an experienced SDET programmer to their team, preferably one with some games experience already in their arsenal. Does that sound like you? Previously all QA has been done manually, but they are now building a team of SDET engineers and need someone to come in to lead the team.

This studio is one of the best and most inclusive developers that I've come across. They really invest in their talent! Their salaries are higher than market average and their bonus scheme is incredible. They provide full visa support and relocation packages for anyone who would need to relocate for the role, and the list of benefits are absolutely massive (which I'm happy to go into more detail about should you be curious). On top of all of this, their games DELIVER; each and every time.

I know it's cheesy to say, and I'm hesitant to say it, but this role is really a once in a lifetime opportunity. To be considered for this vacancy, you need to have most of the following skillset:

  • Good knowledge of test-automation
  • Can evangelise for test-automation, push the agenda of the team, and show them how it improves their lives
  • Management experience
  • Need to have some knowledge of C++ (doesn't need to be extensive)
  • Some knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python)

The role will begin as a remote position, but it is expected to be studio-based from the middle of 2021 onwards. To be considered for the role, you need to have the majority of the stated skillset, but if you are missing a small proportion of these, it is still worth applying for the role!
