Games Development Lecturer – Next Gen FE Course

 Want to inspire the next generation of game programmers? 

You would be teaching FE level students on Sunderland College's NextGen course which has been written by industry leaders including the likes of Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, MPC and The Imaginarium.

The course ensures aspiring devs will be more industry-ready than ever before and equipped with the right skills for games related HE and eventually the workplace. The FE level games development course will also equip students with the foundation skills in Mathematics and IT skills. 

Sunderland College is one of only 4 colleges that are approved to deliver the course and they work closely with Abertay and Teeside Universities who run some of the best games courses in the country!

As a Game Development Lecturer, you will be responsible for preparing session plans and resources and deliver differentiated teaching, learning, and assessment strategies to meet learner needs.
You will prepare and asses students for a range of assessments, while maintaining the assessment records and ensure the course is delivered in an engaging and supportive manner. 

The essential skills & experience you'll need…

  • Degree level education in a similar course – Game Development or Computer Science.
  • C# Coding skills & knowledge of the Unity engine

Desirable experience…

  • Industry experience in game development is a huge plus for this! 
  • Experience using other game development tools such as 3D art programs
