Programmer C++

Ripstone – Liverpool, UK

I'm looking for an experienced C++ Programmer to join the pioneering independent video games developer and publisher Ripstone.

Ripstone are based in one of the UK’s thriving creative and digital clusters, the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool. Their internal development team have worked on a variety of games for PC and console including PS5 and Xbox Series X. I'm supporting them in their search for an experienced C++ Programmer to help shape and steer their work as they carefully expand.

For this role I'm looking for a top class Programmer with a positive can-do attitude, who is self-motivated and enjoys collaborating with colleagues.

The core skills and experience you'll bring to the role…

  • Strong C/C++ skills
  • Unreal Engine 4 experience
  • Good maths and 3D programming skills
  • Excellent attitude and positive mindset, pro-active work ethic

Highly desirable additional bonus skills include…

  • Commercial experience within the computer games industry
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
  • Experience with continuous integration / build systems.
  • Experience with web services; ASP .NET, SQL on AWS or Azure services.
  • C# experience
  • Unity experience
  • Experience with VR
