How we work

string(0) ""

We like to think we make finding the best look easy. In truth, an awful lot goes on behind the scenes to deliver the perfect candidate for your role.

At Aardvark Swift, we'll always tailor our services in a way that works best for you. However, as a rough guide, we offer 3 main levels of service. Here's a brief guide, which outlines what's involved every step of the way.

Probably what most people think of as the "traditional recruitment service". Taking your job description and person specification as our starting point, we'll search our extensive database for candidates that meet your requirements and contact them with details of your vacancy.

We'll also advertise your role on our website and use our extensive social media network to extend your reach, communicating with our thousands of followers across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Our Silver service targets active jobseekers. If the people you want are unlikely to be actively looking for a job, we've got you covered with our gold and platinum services.

This is where our linkedin experience and advanced accounts can make a real difference.

In addition to the Silver service outlined above, we’ll also use sophisticated recruitment tools to carry out a bespoke search of the marketplace, including putting your vacancy in front of passive job seekers that are already in a good job but may switch for a fantastic opportunity.

As a Platinum customer, you’ll have access to all the services included in our Gold and Silver packages. Plus, you’ll benefit from our full, retained search and headhunting service.

What does the platinum service involve?

If you opt for the platinum package, giving us exclusivity over your search, we will develop a bespoke approach which suits your company’s needs. However, there are a number of steps that we are likely to undertake as part of the search process:

Understanding your requirements

Your dedicated Aardvark Swift consultant will arrange an initial discussion with you and other members of your team, usually via phone or Skype.

The objective is to understand the requirements of the role and gather information about your company culture, working style, business objectives and anything else that may impact on the search and help us to identify the perfect candidate.

Job and person specification

If you would like us to handle this step of the process, we will draft a detailed job description, plus a candidate specification which outlines the skills, experience and qualities you require. These documents will form the basis of our search and will be used to market the role to candidates.

Agree the search strategy

Our team will develop a solid plan for searching the market for candidates that match your criteria. We’ll also include strategies for identifying passive candidates, whose skills and experience are likely to be of interest. The strategy will also set the scope of the search and identify 'off limit' companies that you don't want to target, such as your customers.

Carrying out first search

Once the strategy is agreed, our team will carry out phase 1 of the search. This will take place primarily online, and we will also mine our own candidate database for potential prospects.

Qualifying leads

Our team will 'sift' prospective candidates to develop a shortlist of individuals that match the requirements of the role. We'll also discuss their current situation and assess their motivation to move.

Our consultant will conduct interviews with the shortlisted prospects, evaluating them against the criteria set at the start of the process. This can be done wholly by us or as part of a client panel.

At this stage, we will put forward a final shortlist of candidates that we believe are a perfect fit for you to interview.

Checking references

If a candidate has been identified, references will be obtained and verified.

Making an offer

We'll position the offer to your chosen candidate, and once accepted, we'll work closely with both parties to negotiate an appropriate package.
