As a marketing manager, Dan is in charge of all things tech that happens behind the scenes, like creating the website and social media.
How would you describe your average day in the life?
I’m the one that wires everything up behind the scenes, typically with Grads In Games & our online presence. Day-to-day there’ll be a range of content updates & copywriting, community management and design/media projects. I also manage a lot of the social media, logistics, analytics & web services so I get to do a wide variety of things.
Did you receive any training?
Yep, lots. We get a lot of training support here, which is a great benefit. I most recently picked up a qualification for social media in business through the company.
What did you do before starting at Aardvark Swift?
The wobbly world of marketing in the commercial alcohol industry. Lots of bizarre stories & celebrity events.
What do you love most about working at Aardvark Swift?
Working with people in the games industry is absolutely amazing. I’m always learning & always being given the opportunity to try new things and push new initiatives.
What are the perks of working for Aardvark swift?
It’s great being able to relax and get of the office sometimes – I really enjoy the team outings & events we go to together.
What do you get out of working for Aardvark Swift?
I’m doing work I love in an industry I love. Can’t really ask for more than that 🙂
Favourite memory so far?
Presenting the Search For A Star conference & Grads In Games Awards to a packed hall of students, academics and studios that I’d been working closely with for several months on end. It’s hugely gratifying for me to see out our biggest annual campaign like that.
