Aardvark Swift are calling for guest speakers to inspire the next generation of developers on our Get in the Game tour. Every year, with the valuable assistance of individual developers and studios, Aardvark Swift travels up and down the country visiting universities who have a focus on games development. Along with our industry partners, we deliver workshops with hints and tips on how to improve employability within the games industry.
Speakers are free to attend as many or as few universities as they wish, and can choose their own talk subjects that will benefit students. Previous presentations by guest speakers included “Breaking Into The Industry: What You Should Be Doing” and “My Game Dev Story – From Aspiring Game Maker To Creative Director”.
Last year we spoke to over 3000 students and were joined by guest speakers from studios including BossAlien, Playground Games, Rebellion, AMD, Futurelab, Red Kite Games and more! A full list of last year’s guests can be found here.
We strongly encourage any women and minority developers to involve themselves and boost the representation of diversity across the industry.
Our Get in the Game tour plan can be found below, along with which course of students will be attending. Anyone interested in joining us should contact Laura Moxon at Laura@aswift.com or on +44 (0)1709 834777.
