Activision are a world-renowned video games giant responsible for games such as Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, World of Warcraft, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and many more.
Activision were looking to us to source a ‘Senior Supply Chain/Operations Manager’ for the studio based in Venlo, The Netherlands.
We started with a client conference call/briefing session with the European HR Manager based in the UK, along with the local HR Manager based in The Netherlands. We discussed the job spec in detail, along with the scope of the role and ‘ideal’ candidates/company fit.
We then conducted a full database search to unearth suitable candidates actively seeking a new role. We also used this list to mine for referrals.
Our consultants used LinkedIn, Facebook and other social networks to identify passive candidates (those with the right skills and experience but who weren’t necessarily looking for a change of role).
We also undertook a headhunting exercise, to directly contact candidates already based within The Netherlands working at large logistics companies such as DHL/TW4/Time Warner.
Over 100 candidates were screened and interviewed, with 55 being sent the job spec for consideration. Ten CVs were delivered to the client within a week of the initial conference call. Of these ten, five were taken through to interview, where the role was offered to one of our candidates.
